Driving cyber-security with AI

18:30 - 21:30
The House of Lords, Westminister, London

How artificial intelligence can enhance information security and defend against AI-powered cyber threats

Keeping any organisation cyber-secure is getting ever-harder due to the progressive fragmentation and increasing complexity of IT systems, including cyber-security systems. And the problem is getting even worse with the use of AI by cyber-criminals.

Ultimately the only way of keeping up with hackers who use AI is to use AI back against them. Organisations can only keep themselves secure from adversarial AI by using AI to detect threats and defend against them in real time, before they can attack enterprise networks and data.

AI can power up threat intelligence tools and improve threat visibility; for example, it is effective at detecting and mitigating polymorphic threats. Predictive analytics driven by AI enable actions to be taken to address vulnerabilities before breaches happen.

And when breaches do happen, AI still has a vital role to play. Responses can be automated, faster and more accurately than by humans. Policies can be imposed and monitored.

In a fast-changing world the adaptive learning capabilities of AI cyber defences are a critical advantage. However, AI-powered defences need to be practical to use. Human control must be intuitive. Defence systems must be easy to integrate. AI must be adaptable over time, as threats change, and as organisational requirements scale up and down.

In addition, there is a need to keep the AI security system secure. Visibility, control and protection should be designed into any AI system, including defences against adversarial tactics such as prompt injection attacks and data poisoning.

Join us to network with your peers and gain practical insights into strategies for AI-powered cyber security by Palo Alto Networks. This is an exclusive event and seat numbers are very limited, so apply for your place now.

The questions we will explore

During the meeting we will focus on topics such as:

•    Why is the use of AI by criminals a threat to organisations? What are common AI-powered threats and how do these over-come traditional cyber-security defenses?
•    How can AI be used to defend against cyber-threats including AI-powered threats?
•    What data is needed to build effective AI-driven security? How should this data be managed and protected?
•    What are the main cyber security threats to AI-powered systems? How can AI be made secure by design?
•    When AI is used to defend organisations, how should it be governed and managed? What are the threats to organisations from using AI and how can these be mitigated?

Who is invited?

This dinner is designed for senior decision makers across private industry who wish to discuss strengthening cyber-security with AI. Delegates will be employed as IT and security decision makers in large businesses across industry.
Be one of 12 senior cyber-security professionals attending the event at The House of Lords in central London. For any enquiries, please contact Mergim on 020 8349 6458 or email m.begolli@business-reporter.co.uk.

The dinner discussion is brought to you by BT and Palo Alto Networks and is only for senior executives as mentioned above. Registrations of junior professionals, consultants, solution providers or other sellers to this market won’t be accepted. To be eligible you must be employed by a corporate legal entity such as a private company: if you are a sole trader or in a partnership other than a legally incorporated partnership, we will be unable to offer you a place.

This event is free of charge to attend.
