Indian telecom regulator orders security audit amid alleged data breach of 750 million subscribers

The Department of Telecom (DoT) has directed service providers to conduct a security audit of their systems following claims by cybersecurity firm CloudSEK that data belonging to 750 million Indian subscribers has been leaked on the dark web, as confirmed by a government official.
