Maryland behavioral healthcare provider settles HIPAA violations after ransomware breach

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has reached a settlement regarding alleged Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) violations with Green Ridge Behavioral Health, LLC (GRBH), a Maryland-based behavioral healthcare provider, for $40,000.
