Researchers discover new Iranian state-sponsored hacking group, APT42

Cybersecurity researchers at threat intelligence firm Mandiant have discovered a new Iranian state-sponsored hacking group, which it refers to as APT42, which engages in cyberespionage against individuals and organizations of particular interest to the Iranian government.
